INSTALLATION

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster positioning claw with the hole, and install the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 42 N·m (428 kgf·cm, 31 ft·lbf)

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the claws on the body with the front seat outer belt retractor positioning holes.

(b) Install the front seat outer belt with the 2 bolts.

HINT:

First install bolt A, and then install bolt B.

  • for Bolt A

Torque: 8.0 N·m (82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf)

  • for Bolt B

Torque: 42 N·m (428 kgf·cm, 31 ft·lbf)


(c) Connect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

(d) Install the shoulder anchor to the shoulder belt anchor adjuster with the nut.

Torque: 42 N·m (428 kgf·cm, 31 ft·lbf)

3. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

4. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

5. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

6. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

7. INSTALL REAR FLOOR STEP NO. 1 COVER INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Manual Seat)

(a) Install the front seat assembly SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia) .

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)

(a) Install the front seat assembly SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia) .

12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 5.4 N·m (55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf)

NOTICE:
